Port of Zwolle

Logistic hub of the Northeast

The Netherlands is one of the world’s major logistical junctions. Transport by water, road and rail is an industry that is experiencing rapid growth. The market places high demands on transport, and the sector will have to find ways to adapt to new changes in transport flows. Core concepts such as quality, flexibility, continuity, sustainability and reliability are now the norm for the logistics sector. Multi-modal transport occupies an increasingly important position in the Dutch transport market and transport to Eastern Europe.

Port of Zwolle, with harbour facilities in Zwolle, Kampen and Meppel, is a strategic partner in this sector of the economy. It is ideally located on the line between the major ports of Rotterdam and Amsterdam and the markets in the hinterland.

Port of Zwolle offers many services for handling a wide range of cargoes. Approximately 200 companies do business from the harbour facilities each day, and with four transport modalities close at hand, they can reach the entire world.
