Port of Zwolle has excellent facilities for the storage and transhipment of dry bulk. Via our ports, dry bulk is distributed to end users, with Europe as an important market. From iron ore to grain and fertilisers.

Port of Zwolle is home to one of the largest grain stores in North-West Europe. It has a storage capacity of over 275,000 tonnes. At the peak of the grain harvest, a lorry drives through the gate every two minutes. A logistical challenge!

Port accessibility

Our port accessibility is excellent. The Port of Zwolle docks are accessible to class Va vessels. Inland waterway and coastal vessels of up to 2,5000 tonnes with a maximum draught of 3.5 metres can enter the docks. Port of Zwolle is developing constantly. One of the ambitions for the future is to be able to accommodate ships of up to 4,000 tonnes in the Zuiderzee port.

The Port of Zwolle docks are strategically located in a logistics hub, where the country's major transport routes intersect. Port of Zwolle is easily accessible not only by inland waterways but also by rail and road; routes by which goods are transported across the Netherlands, Germany, Europe and the Baltics.
