Agri Food

The Netherlands both imports and exports agricultural products. These products, such as grain, animal feed and fertilisers, are largely transported by water and consequently need to be stored and transhipped.

Port of Zwolle has a range of silos and warehousing facilities enabling the responsible storage and transhipment of Agribulk cargoes. For smaller volumes with short turnaround times there are silos with a storage capacity of 5,000 tonnes. There are various warehousing units, insulated or uninsulated, for larger volumes with relatively long storage times. The total storage capacity is over 450,000 tonnes. Furthermore, there are more than 35 ventilated grain silos in the docks. These silos each have a capacity of 1,000 or 2,000 tonnes.
